- Marking the biggest opening day for the franchise, 'Final Destination 3' surprises the industry with another spectacular bow for the horror genre. Depending on Saturday holds, the movie could play out to between 19-22 million marking the third horror film to debut in tha category this year following 'Hostel' & 'When A Stranger Calls' (which falls well over 60% this week)
- Other debuts fared from well to moderate. 'Pink Panther' was able to use Beyonce to score some tickets and could see itself with a robust 16-18 million for the weekend. Firewall wasn't the action flick Harrison Ford fans were wanting as the opening should fall in line with K13: Widowmaker around the 13-15 million mark. 'Curious George' proved to have a soft start, but a big Saturday and strong matinees could see it with around 12-14 million for the weekend. Important thing to note is that all opening movies either fell in line, or exceeded industry expectations.
- 'Brokeback Mountain' is starting to see it's steam die off and should see another drop from last weekend. It needs some last minute momentum heading into the Oscars if it's going to power past the $100 million mark.

The only reason that movie will rake in that much is because of Beyonce. That sentence proves it. She is becoming too overrated!

Anyways... OMFG!! I saw Firewall today, it was soo damn good, GO SEE IT! It was so suspenseful from beginning to end, plus, Chloe from 24 is in it <3. I love this movie!
I was going to see a double feature with the PP and it was sold out, but Curious George started 10 minutes later, and BOTH were sold out . So I'm going to see PP tomorrow .
i saw Something New and the movie is VERY GOOD..and i saw like 15-20 mins of final destination 3 (bcuz i snuck in) and it was very good also. well at least the part that i saw
I went to see Final Destination 3 last night it was really good. it wasn't like an oscar winning movie well obviously lol but it was just a fun to movie to see
. So I'm going to see PP tomorrow
