A pregnant woman is finding that roadkill is satisfying her pregnancy cravings. Alison Brierley, 42, claims the taste of the gamey meat is what she loves the most, which is a stark contrast to her normal diet.
Alison Brierley has probably the strangest pregnancy craving I've ever heard of -- roadkill. Briereley is a British artist, taxidermist, and mom-soon-to-be which craves dead animals that have been hit by cars.
Brierley claims that she eats pigeons, owls, deer, hare, rabbit, partridges, but pheasants is her staple. She told Metro UK, "I get the best meat from friends who ring me up to tell me about a kill they've spotted on their way to work."
She even knows the best place to find animal carcasses. She said, "The best road round here is the A61 to Ripon, it's definitely the most fruitful. But most of my foraging is opportunistic and I don't go out looking for carcasses."
