Don't worry about Marry The Night's chart positions too much right now. A lot of monsters tend to overreact to little dips here and there and it just ends up amounting to nothing more than negativity. The single will be fine. We have another sure-fire hit on the album (Scheiße) and I think for the first time this era people are genuinely excited about Gaga's single/video/performances. Not to mention the fact that it's an amazing song and isn't controversial or preachy in any way. She has lots of promo lined up; I'm sure it'll go Top 5 worldwide at least.

Telephone premiered on E! too, so that's not a valid excuse as to why Judas didn't work. The song just wasn't meant to be played on radio, that's all that was. And TEOG was just a mess of a video.

All she needs with Marry The Night is some type of launching pad. I think premiering it on MTV would be good enough, honestly (it worked for Adele with an even more boring video than TEOG). If the video is great, that's really all the promoting she needs to do. The song will sell itself.

She should really call into some U.S. radio stations to do some interviews while she's in Europe.

It's the least she can do. She can't ignore the fact that it's screaming for U.S. promo

Eventually these singles need to stand on their own, especially when she's touring. What will we do then? Run for the hills? LOL.

Shes been promoting nonstop since February. She has that end perfectly under control. Its the timing of it all that just seems so awkward.
Euro promo right now is def worthwhile since they didnt buy into You and I (as expected tbh,) but I wish she released the video so that could boost the US while she was gone. Then she couldve returned when video hype was fading, and keep it going with the Thanksgiving special etc.

Same thing as TEOG. She left too early and the song suffered.

The Judas video worked about as well as a video could for a song that peaked so low in airplay. It got the song back into the Top 10 and managed 100m views without going platinum/very little overall airplay.

Regardless, E! News doesn't get anywhere near the viewership that a primetime special (even one on Thanksgiving) would receive.
