I don't support religion, but I respect believer and i usually stay away from discussing it.
I'm raised and 'still' christian, and I will still practice regular norwegian christian traditions that my family has done (Baptism, confirmation, marriage and funeral). My family is also very conservative, but we are not really religious. So that's one of my dilemmas with being gay, having a ceremony and all. it would be the ultimate awkward.
I believe religion is one of the main root to most hate and judgement in the world.

IMO Religion has caused more good then bad. I also never understood how religion has the power to dictate one's life.

If we are discussing whether God exists or not, I don't think he does. Don't give me the before the big bang ******** because at some point you have to accept that there was nothing because where did God come from; similarly the argument about how complex we are simply boils down to evolution and sheer luck.

I'm Christian, so my goal of course is to respect and love God til eternity.. his presence alone is enough to get me through the day. I don't believe there has to be a religion tied to Jesus to love him.. If he's in your heart faithfully, that's more than enough.

And once again, you don't get sent to hell for being gay. Tired of hearing it.

I think the world would be better without religion brainwashing people. I was raised in a church, and I was raised to believe being gay is wrong. It was to the point where I genuinely hated myself and believe I was sinning simply for being gay. The church is abusive in that sense. I believe religion is a lot of what's wrong with the world today and we'd be better off without it.

I see nothing wrong with the idea of religion, I just wish more people listened to whatever doubts or questions they have concerning their faith.

So many people sit in Church and forbid themselves from living a life they want out of fear of going against what the collective majority will think of them. Especially people who come from incredibly religious backgrounds.

It doesn't hurt to question your faith.

Yes, I am. I'm Christian. And I respect gay people, but I can't @ some gay ppl not respecting my religion.

This. I think this mainly comes from people too afraid/incapable of thinking for themselves, or having been successfully brainwashed into thinking that questioning faith is an abominable sin.
