Christina would have ruined it with her showboating and her need to do more than what is called for. Not Myself Tonight's main problem was that it was not a Christina track, there is a reason in most of the reviews Britney, along with GaGa, were brought up as who she was trying to copy.

Nothing about it was genuine to who she was, while it wasn't as bad as many made it out to be, it wasn't her.

Legit, I can hear Katy doing the verses. But the rest of the song is too cool and current for her.

It would have been perfect for Christina. Or Bey, but that's not where she was going this year.

Neither could do it justice. Maybe, just maybe, the verses, but never the sweet, angelic vocals in the chorus, or the breakdown and the orgasmic final chorus. They have the classic Britney touch.

Now that I think about it, listening to any other popstar singing "Hold It Against Me" would have been cringe worthy.

Anyone can sing a song, but not everyone can sing said song convincingly, as if it was a natural progression.

Listen to the way the girl sings the chorus and think about Katy's voice on the words "loud" and "crowd somehow." Not to mention "body now."

Katy simply cannot sound sexy. When she tries to, she sounds like a tranny, and before her, I didn't even know that was possible.

Katy couldn't hit the notes Britney hits in the final chorus and she could never handle the dubstep breakdown or the high G5 note in the bridge. Katy sounded a mess with Firework even with auto-tune. HIAM has that same Eb5/E5 note in mixed voice that Katy can't touch without puncturing a lung to hit. She could never due the sexiness Britney exemplifies in the breakdown of the song either. Just in general Katy would be a failure. She would try though.
