Why people insist on creating threads about generic music?

people don't like generic music because it sounds like most other music. and you wouldn't want to hear the same music all day every day, would you??

People like to hate what's popular, even if they like it. Here was the last place i expected to see some LMFAO hate and tada, full of haters. Hypocrisy, as real as it gets

For me personally, there's nothing exciting about hearing the same sort of things being played over and over again on the radio..

Some artists here in Australia who, in my opinion, had unique voices and sounds have totally surrendered to this eurodance stuff. It's annoying because it reduces musical diversity. You have all these different artists with different ideas and musical preferences, yet you end up with this mass of songs that can't be distinguished from each other. I think it's boring.

The dance-pop thing is just a music trend. When the next popular sound comes, we will have the same problem. Artists just follow what is current and what people are loving at the time. We can already tell that dance-pop/electro is fading anyway. Things are gradually starting to shift elsewhere.
