The reason why expect Katy, Rihanna, etc. to be able to sing is because it's their JOB, and because the industry uses so much autotune and pitch perfection the only gauge we have of how much an artist can actually sing are their live performances. Based on those, some artists definitely separate themselves from others. Just because we hold "singers" to that standard doesn't mean we ourselves have to be able to sing better than them necessarily.

But atleast you need some experience before judging so early
I'm not a singer by any means, but I did upload a recording of me singing Marry The Night a few weeks ago. I know I'm not very good, but I just recorded it for fun because it's my favorite Gaga song, so be nice please
