SINGING star Pixie Lott visited young patients at the Teenage Cancer Trust unit at UCLH, chatting, posing for photos with them and signing autographs.

Pixie, who comes from Brentwood, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. "The staff and patients were amazing. It’s such a fantastic charity. I’m really pleased to have been invited to visit and see the great work they do.”

The Trust unit at UCLH treats 13-19-year-olds diagnosed with cancer, in an environment suited to their needs - with TVs, computer games, pool tables and a jukebox.

It also brings young people together, rather than being treated on an adult or children’s ward, so they do not feel isolated during long stays in hospital.
