so we complain about things going too fast... when she releases 2 singles at a time and when she didnt tkae any break between eras...
and now that she is letting a song shine and smash on its own we complain too??
we've got 8 VIDEOS this same year... and 8 different singles..
we cannot complain about nothing happening... when she is #1 WorldWide, in the US, in the UK, in Ireland, In Europe, in NZ,...

I think that some of the frustration comes from the release being so soon, yet we still have very relatively little news. I don't think people would be this "impatient" if the album weren't due out in three weeks.

totally. people are just hungry for official news about anything album related. I'm very happy she's not rushing out a second single (yet) - WFL needs room to breathe and it's smashing effortlessly

I'm not sure who you're talking about, but I've always wanted Riri to take longer breaks between singles because all her songs could sell alot more than they do if she waited more between them. WFL is already going Platinum this week, it could easily sell 3-4 million if she waited until january. I haven't really seen any people complain about not getting news about the 2nd single it's more about the album, we really didn't get any for a while and the albums comes out in a bit more than 2 weeks so people are frustrated

why is a lack of news for the album a problem?
I think that only makes people focus on WFL (and that's what we have to do...)
Nowadays an artist can put together an album in 2 weeks... SO there is SOOOOOOO much time to change things, record new songs, new arrangements, shoot photos...
+ we still dont know how the release is gonna be. But Im 100% glad that she is not doing countdown weeks. That only makes people spend money and get quite high debut weeks to let songs die without any sense after.
She could do a countdown with the second single, the week before the release. But I dont want 4-5 weeks... That is not sane.

This is the issue. And I am trying more than ever to be uber-patient. I am holding up better than I thought. I still believe everything will be just fine.
HOWEVER, I do think the utter silence is deafennig right now. Today is November 1st. It's only natural that everyone would be like...um...what's going on here?!
Especially when you have a fanbase that goes as hard as the NAVY does. It just comes off as a little bit of a "shell game" or a "waiting game" and it is frustrating and confusing. I totally concur.

That's true... However, now that TTT is just 3 weeks from its release I think there should be more involvement. And I'm not waiting a new single but information of the album, promo etc. These are important times if RiRi and Def Jam want to get a good kick off to this new era.

she could very much make TTT just a digital release the first week and then release it physically..
other artists have done it before... And that would give her the whole 3 weeks let to complete the album. Coz a digital song cost 0 time to release. PLUS that means NO LEAKS

For everyone who missed it, here are all the infos about the Dr. Luke song
Title: You The One
Writer: Ester Dean
Producer(s): Dr. Luke, Cirkuit
Chorus:
Quote:
You Da One That I Dream About All Dayayay
You Da One That I Think About Alwayayays
You Are The One So I Make Sure I Behavavave
My Love Is Your Love, Your Love Is My Love
You Da One That I Dream About All Dayayay
You Da One That I Think About Alwayayays
You Are The One So I Make Sure I Behavavave
My Love Is Your Love, Your Love Is Mine

Info's from Flourescent who heard it:
Quote:
it is island-y with a dubstep influence.
it's instantly catchy & unquestionably a radio hit
i could see it working as a 2nd single, because it has that urban/pop appeal, but ideally i'd like to see it be a later single.
Don't worry about it being Dr. Luke. It's 100% a traditional Rihanna track.
|
All this is 100% real, it's up to you if you wanna believe it but Flourescent is the same person who knew the "Skin" & "Cheers" lyrics before they leaked/came out, Flourescent doesn't mind that I posted the info's here so don't complain
