PopDash: What can fans expect from the new album ‘Young Foolish Happy‘?
Pixie Lott: Well it’s a lot more mature for a start. I wrote a lot of the songs on the first album when I was fourteen and things have changed a lot for me since then, obviously. The new songs are far more relevant to me now and I can relate to them a lot more. It’s a lot more soulful too. There’s upbeat songs like the singles but it’s definitely a more grown up album.
PopDash: We heard you worked with Beyonce’s choreographer on the video to ’What Do You Take Me For’. How was that?
The song has a lot of attitude and we wanted something similar in terms of the video so I was so happy to work with her. Her name is Caroline and she made the ’Run The World (Girls) video for Beyonce and It was so fun working with her. We had a few days before the shoot to practise and then on the last day we shot the video.
PopDash: We often see you looking loved up with your boyfriend Oliver (Cheshire, model). Are there many songs about him and your relationship on the new album?
He has definitely inspired a few songs, yes. I wrote about seventy songs for this album so, naturally, some are about feeling happy and falling in love with someone special.
PopDash: Seventy songs? That’s a lot…
Yeah, getting it down to a final twelve was so difficult. Hopefully the ones that didn’t quite fit with the album will get picked up by someone else.
PopDash: Has that happened yet? Who is sniffing around the reject pile?
There’s a girl on Columbia Records who has taken one and another female solo artist too. Selena Gomez took one as well, obviously.
PopDash: Going back to your boyfriend, how does he feel when he sees you in videos and on stage being ’sexy’ so to speak?
I think he knows that it is just a role to be played and he understands. It’s a part of his job too so we both have to deal with it.
PopDash: How have you found performing your new songs live?
I have absolutely loved it. It feels like I was playing the old songs for so long and to just have new stuff is the best feeling.
PopDash: And will you be touring the country soon?
I hope so touring is my favourite part of what I do and I can’t wait to play the new songs and travel to countries as well. I’m really excited about visiting Australia and New Zealand as well as going to Asia too. Obviously there will be a Uk tour at some point as well but I don’ know when or where just yet.

She is coming to Australia again!? Hell yes. Explains why the album is being released here!
The Deluxe songs don't sound anything amazing. Probably, the best one is Till The Sun Comes Up.
Glad they chose the really good songs for the standart version. My fav snippet is still Come Get It Now.
I actually think some of the tracks from the deluxe version are better than the ones on the standard album. The deluxe cover is so bad though. It looks totally fan made.
