Yeah, but then maybe people will not miss her, or will stop liking her as much so there's a huge risk.
Well, huge risk would be releasing an album after 4 years, like my beloved Avril Lavigne did with her last one (1 year more thanks to her ****** label and a half due to personal issues). Two years between albums isn't that bad, I think it's perfect timing. But Rihanna (and some of her fans) seem to be obsessed with releasing stuff constantly because they want to "assure" success and relevance. I guess competition in pop music industry is so fierce that popstars feel the need to be releasing singles all the time. I think it may be a double-edged sword...
Artists reach a point where they are successful enough to put out an album and sell well with no promo where as other artists can put out an album with very heavy promo but still not sell well.
I Think "Talk That Talk" will not flop but it will not sell as much as Rihanna would be expected to sell.
This. it already happened to Britney and still does.
Rihanna is very popular around the world so she will do good with no promo, but defenily not better without it.
Every artist needs some type of promotion, I've never seen a artist who can just have a successful era off their name alone. But I just don't understand how you could be 5 albums in, 10 # 1 singles and not at least ONE #1 album.
l think rihanna is really TIRED.she is been doing this for years, she promotes way more than Beyonce or gaga or kesha because she is on Tv shows they dont even go (like the MAKE OVER ****).
