You people are naive if you think artists actually write their own songs. Beyonce is noted for buying writing credits.
You can simply get writing credits for changing a line or word in a song.
For example, Britney could have gotten a writing credit for Not a Girl, Not Yet A woman as she came up with the chorus while soaking in her bathtub. Didn't know that did you?
Britney could have gotten a co producer credit for coming up with the rift for Everytime but she didn't.
She wrote the bridge in Everybody too but went uncredited
Britney could have gotten a co writing credit for Born to Make You Happy. The lyrics in the original song was explicit and Britney demanded it to be taken out as she knew she has a very young fanbase.
Britney could have gotten a co writing credit for Lucky because she came up with the song's basic concept.
