Being a "pure" Navy stan really isn't necessary. The whole system of stanbases as a whole is a little bit subjective. I see it sort of as just people who really like an artist, while others see it more as an unorganized "fan club" of sorts that have a set of unspoken guidelines. But honestly, if I like someone I'll say it, if I don't like something about Rihanna, even if the Navy gets mad, I'll say it. It's not about being a part of a "group" really, it's just about liking Rihanna. So if you like Rihanna to the point you think you're part of the Navy, then that's cool. But if you still like Britney Spears, you shouldn't have to leave that one in response. That's just me though.
. Plus being a hybrid stan of Britney and Rihanna is really good since they both collaborated on the S&M remix.
