Those three are arguably three of the biggest males in pop history. They had it all great voices, artistry, stage presence and the look.
But my question is would it make males of the industry more interesting and successful if the pushed boundaries and dressed as flamboyantly as them. and when one tries he is laughed at (see Graffiti cover & the beginning of the Blonde for example) We could bring the issue of todays pop stars being called gay for doing those things but so were the three pictured above. Do you think a Lady Gaga male equivalent could be successful?
Adam Lambert seems to be heading for that trajectory, his songs did pretty well here at least Whatya Want From Me and If I Had U but I don't think that America is ready for that again.
They'd certainly be a lot more interesting. We all know men can be "manly", but can they be creative, innovative, intriguing, and dynamic...? That's what I want to see and I hope that's what others want to see.
But Justin Bieber trying it with them chick jeans...
It's hard enough being a male pop star. Imagine being a flamboyant one.
That's what seperates the ones in the OP + Freddy Mercury from the rest. Im sure they were all called f*gs, homos, queer etc yet they kept soldiering on which is why I commend Chris for doing this.
