Johnny Gill flattered by Beyoncé
New Edition maker compare Beyoncé to Michael Jackson

Johnny Gill is giving Beyoncé major props for her video "Love on Top."
What some artists call plagiarism, Johnny considers a tribute.
When Bey debuted "Love on Top," many people immediately thought of New Edition's "If It Isn't Love" music video. Both videos were set in a dance studio; both videos starred a boy band, and they each featured high-energy dance moves.
"How cool was that?" Johnny asked S2S after having watched "Love on Top." "That was so cool."
Johnny thinks Bey and her backup dancers did a great job of capturing New Edition's essence. In his opinion, it's why she is one of the greatest living performers.
"There's no more Michael Jackson," said Johnny, "but I think she's a beast to begin with." Johnny told S2S that the world, although very taken with Beyoncé's command of the stage and studio, hasn't fully realized that she's a legend in the making.
He said, "It's such an honor to have someone who knew, and knows, her history and to be aware of where it all started."
Beyonce may be expecting her first baby, but don't expect to find her in typical maternity wear while she struts around in stilettos.
On a recent outing with husband Jay-Z, the woman Harper's Bazaar declared "Sexy and Pregnant" on its latest cover showed off her growing belly in a short, tight black dress with sexy cutouts and high heels.
Perhaps she was putting to rest those rumors of a fake baby bump. (For the record, Beyonce's publicist told ABCNews.com that reports suggesting the singer is wearing a prosthetic belly are "stupid, ridiculous and false.")
But in her new video for "Party," Beyonce's bump is absent as she sports a plunging pink bathing suit, skimpy tank top and underwear, and a crocheted cone-shaped bikini top. The video was shot in August, just before she announced her pregnancy.
In another new video for "Countdown," she flashes her bump in a clingy black-and-white dress with side cutouts. The aptly named song is said to be a tribute to proud papa-to-be Jay-Z.
Expect to see more of Beyonce flashing her latest asset, while wearing some of her own designs. The singer recently announced a new maternity collection for her House of Dereon clothing line.
"All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman," she said in an interview for the November issue of Harper's. "It's been so exciting for me. I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant."
And these days, there's no sexier star mom-to-be.
"Not only will she be the best commercial for it, she'll also be a poster child for filling a void," corporate brand strategist Marvet Britto told ABCNews.com. "No other line has really had a youthful, sexy, progressive pregnant woman as their brand ambassador. I think it's a brilliant branding strategy."
