What is all this hype for Panic! at ATRL ? I went to allmusic.com to preview their album and read a review...The album was bland and filler-full. Allmusic.com gave it like 2 stars or less, not good at all.

Someone horrible who is going to be big because of mass promotion:
Teddy Geiger. This kid ----ing sucks. Lyrically and vocally, this kid is nothing and he looks so f'ing stiff (not that it matters lol). But unfortunately, his label is promoting the hell out of him, or as Billboard Mag put it, it's like the second coming of Mariah Carey.

Okay, you're entitled to your opinion and how you think it's bland and whatever, but it doesn't change the fact that Panic! is going to be the biggest breakout band of 2006, though that depends on how big Arctic Monkeys will be. Hell, they already have a huge following and it is only going to get bigger with "I Write Sins Not Tragedies". Let me put it this way for you: You have Fall Out Boy's voice with a techno/dance beat. You don't think that'll be big, especially right now with how many people like Fall Out Boy now? Really?

I won't go as far as say they'll be the biggest band or artist of 2006, obviously, but they'll be the biggest new band of 2006 for sure.

See, that part turned me on to them. But when I heard the album's clips, they weren't as obvious or they just didn't stick out as much as I thought they would. The fact that the lead singer sounds like the dude from FOB isn't exactly a good thing on their part lol, but I can live with it.

band wise:
Arctic Monkeys: it obviously already happened in the U.K. with them having the fastest selling debut album ever, and having 2 #1 singles in a row. it might be a bit harder for the U.S. though cause their lyrics are very british, but hopefully people can look past that.

hip hop:
Lupe Fiasco: once the "Touch The Sky" video hits(shot at the Grand Canyon, explosions, fireworks, marching bands, Lupe with a fake moustache) he's gonna be huge, with his album following shortly after.
