She wont. Gaga has good IDEAS, but she and her producers don't know how to execute them properly. In the right hands, Dance In The Dark and Heavy Metal Lover could have been amazing, unforgettable singles that shame what the other pop girls are releasing nowadays AND been huge hits.

Gaga seems to be struggling to walk the fine line between being artistic (HML, BM, etc), yet releasing "safe" songs that will maintain her status and push record sales. After your debut sells upwards of 10 million, it's hard to risk "everything" and release a song whose reception isn't completely predictable. It becomes easier to settle for being "good", rather than risk it all to be great.
Gaga. Madonna has done everything, broken trends, and set them. Just as Madonna has redefined sex in POP, Gaga is setting out redefine beauty and "weird" in POP.
Just as Madonna has desensitized us to sex in POP, Gaga is doing the same with her fashion as she admits her Monsters are desensitized to the shock fashion, and the public soon too.
there are a lot of members on ATRL that are like the haters of the 80's that said that Madonna wouldn't amount to anything.. but.. apparently GaGa has broken the whole "oh she'll be a flash in the pan" bull...
I think Gaga has the potential to outdo her musically, but she needs to continue to improve. The Fame Monster was just incredible. It was so perfectly produced and never stepped out of its own bounds. It was such a good way to move on from The Fame. Likewise, Born This Way is a huge step for her: it really opens up a whole lot of new areas for her, but make no mistake, it came at the cost of the technical perfection and succinctness that characterized TFM. I do think she needed to do it, though. The album is great and it showed that she's not afraid to really throw it all out there. Now she just needs to learn how to draw back and continue to grow, while only releasing material as precise as TFM.
I have no comments on how her videos have progressed lately.
I don't think she has... she came close with Bad Romance, but it was mostly the iconic video... and many Madonna's songs are better and more iconic than BR.
Her new songs are very interesting, but they don't have that huge, universal acclaim Madonna's had...
I actually think Gaga's best songs are Paparazzi and Alejandro, i would compare those to Madonna's in term of quality.The Red One productions don't cut it for me
