Depends on what you consider a "masterpiece." Several hits, or good critical review, awards and chart placement etc.

pop gurls rarely produce masterpieces
out of all my faves listed in my sig, masterpieces would be:

A critically acclaimed album that most critics enjoyed. It doesn't have to be a commercial success in order for it to be a masterpiece.
