I don't think so, she was basically irrelevant during her 19 era. And we know how fickle people can be, look how they did Leona, BEP, Miley, Rihanna (after GGGB), and the list goes on.

Of you course you would include Rihanna & not Beyonce on this list.

I don't know, that is the question. She might be that artist that only has one hit era. We'll see.

In Adele's case, people relate to her songs and to HER, they connect to her heartache, they feel as though she's voicing their actual experiences. Even if you hate Adele I'm surprised you don't see the difference.

Why would I hate her? She's bland.

Case in point: see Norah Jones' career

I don't know if she has longevity. The reason she is so successful now is because no one else is doing what she does. But music trends change, artists progress musically and yeah. Who knows.

Nope. Her music is all the same. Slow ballads, depressing, etc. She will fade out, and I'm speaking the truth. Her music and fans will remain the same but her popularity and her hype will decrease. People like generic, catchy music. You ain't going to be at a club poppin your ass to "Someone Like You" now will you?

What I never got's when people think she'll be a 1 album wonder, and even thought RITD was going to be her only hit even when she had a decent 1 on her last record. Throughout the years I think she'll do fine, and keep popping out albums while not caring for more hits.

BEP is doing fine, but their album sales are lower, because people didnt want to buy Will's autotuned album.

In the US? I think not.

I think she'll sell fine for quite some time to come, but her period as the It girl will end soon enough.

What is she going to write for her next album is my question cause from what it seems, she wrote 19 and 21 off of two heartbreaks (I don't know much about her, so I could be wrong about 19). So unless she gets heartbroken again, she might need to find inspiration from somewhere else.
Can she write an album that's more peppy and not all about heartache? Will people still be interested in her if she creates an album like that? And if she continues to write about heartache and the blues, will people support ANOTHER album about heartache?

Agreed. She will still be popular, still sell tons of albums, but her future albums will never top "21". If her album does top 21, then I believe she will have Lady GaGa's success (album sale wise).

I've said this many times but I'll say it again. Leona Lewis is always getting flamed at for singing all slow songs, love songs, ballads, all which Adele does. But when Leona Lewis shifts to a new sound (working with Max Martin) and creates some upbeat music, she is still called boring, while Adele continues to release ballads and receive nothing but praise from fans.

Celine Dion and Sade made careers out of those types of songs. There will always be people interested in emotional songs. No one should expect Adele to keep putting out top 40 hit after hit, and I don't think Adele is expecting that. Her songs and successes are rare occurrences anyway.

Hard to tell...I think her wanting to make the next album more acoustic and less polished,in terms of production, might mean she may not have those monster singles that really drive those album sales.
We can only speculate I suppose...She obviously won't disappear off the radar entirely but I don't know if there's gonna be a repeat of the Adele-mania that's happening now.

Not as a forefront singer she'll have more of a adult contemporary background role with a big hit every now in then you know similar to Norah... Sade and Celine

I believe that 21 is the best album she has under her belt and her forthcoming releases will never top it. Adele will be doing good in the future as far as sales are concerned. 21 has already yielded its best effort and worldwide sales is a proof.

Adele's success is different than Leona's. Leona had one hit and her album sold well. Adele has had two hits and extremely good sales. She kicked the other girls out of the water this year.
She will continue to be succesful, just not ala 21.

In her voice sadly NO.
So fragile, so delicate, such a precious treasure,
