I actually tell people this because it's funny, but last year in one of my classes, I was giving a presentation/analysis over wartime poetry. I did it the night before (I normally procrastinate but not that bad; I had been sick for the previous month so I was really behind on everything).
So I'm in front of the class, and I'm analyzing this poem hardcore. I'm tying it to the Holocaust, saying how the victim went through the Holocaust and how it made him feel, etc. My professor raises her hand to stop me in the middle of all this, and says, "This was written about 20 years before the Holocaust." I was so embarassed. I just kind of froze and I looked at the class and everyone had their head down like "Oh ****!" I went, "Oh...." And she goes, "So what would this poem be about then?" Like I would know?!?! I did that **** the night before. I just stood there and then I started laughing because I realized how ****ed I was. So I was a smartass and I said, "Well, I did this last night so I honestly have no idea, sorry."
I didn't get a very good grade on that presentation
