Tbh this didn't surprise me. The large majority of her songs have a shallow factor lyrically in the way a teenager talks about love. There is little depth to the way she talks about love in her songs so it makes sense she has never been very deep in it

I understand what she is going through. I don't blame her being private either. The media can be harsh.

I know but I know a lot of people who've thought they've been in love but when they actually fall in love with someone else and realize they wern't in love. When I hear people who say they're in love with someone different every week it's obvious they can't tell the difference between lust and love. Also loving someone and being in love are 2 completely different things.

I love her. This isn't the first time she's said this. She's always been jaded when it comes to love. I always related to her with that. Some people have different definitions of what truly being in love is. Her definition is much more intense than I'm guessing most younger people's definitions are. She actually brings this up in my favorite song from her, "Maybe".

Nah. She is pretty much saying, she'd rather put her career above anything else because that is what matters most to her. She knows that juggling both worlds can be tough, so she's made a decision accordingly.
