Well, it seems as if you've thought about this for a long time (2 years) so if you are really certain that you want it and have come to terms with the fact that it won't be going anywhere, I'd try to talk to my parent's about it. My brother actually went and got a tattoo without my parents' knowledge (he is 21) and they were so pissed...I wouldn't want your parents to react the same way
I actually want to get an industrial bar on my left ear but I haven't gotten around to asking my parents...they are really conservative when it comes to these things b/c i'm going into a business field and piercings dont look professional to them
best of luck...i would advise you NOT do it without your parents' knowledge though
