I'm not really into music yet when Britney debuted, so I can't say anything about her debut.
However, Beyonce's debut was really big. Crazy in Love was such a phenomenal hit around the world, I don't know anyone who hasn't heard that song. It's probably because she has established a name already in the industry before her solo debut. Her debut was full force.
Lady Gaga's debut, although big, was very gradual because people were still trying to adapt to her electro-dance music. Nevertheless, it really smashed hard worldwide. She owes all her success to this song. And I must say her debut was the best because her lead single was followed-up by a bigger smash hit, which made her the music industry's bird of prey.
Rihanna, also like Gaga, didn't really explode right away. Although her debut was hot, many DJs thought she was a one hit wonder, but she proved them wrong. And she currently is the most stable pop star.
Katy, I thought her debut single was Hot N Cold? Well anyway, although she was hot, her image didn't match the success of her songs right away. I mean she was a bit scared on what others would say about her. I didn't see her passion in the beginning, but she came back with a vengeance on Teenage Dream.
Ke$ha's debut was one of the biggest as well. Thanks to what Gaga has done, people connected right away to her music. And for some odd reason I thought this was the girl who will end Gaga's career. Anyway, her debut was really great because she just threw hits after hits.
