If she can combine critical acclaim and amazing music(Rated R) with commercial smashing(Loud/GGGB) and great performances(LOUD is getting there) then she will have peaked.

Rihanna has yet to peak.....GGGB was the beginning of her stardom but LOUD capitulated her into a worldwide megastar and TTT is shaping up to be an incredible era for her.

No Beyonce hasn't peaked yet. She has so much more to do and explore in her life and her career. After she has the heir, there should be lots of experiences being a mom and how that will reflect in her next album.

The Rihanna fans saying no is funny. GGGB was her peak. Rihanna will likely never have another 8 million plus selling effort ever again. Same with Beyonce I think you could safely say Dangerously In Love was her peak album with 11 million albums sold. Gaga will likely never have another album sell 14 million copies like The Fame did. Etc.

Just because they have peaked doesn't mean that they will not ever be successful again, it just means they will never hit the high they once did and all three of those ladies most certainly have peaked.

If anything IASF would be her peak album, Single Ladies was massive and the I Am... Tour was Huge. But Beyonce isn't done yet. I still see longevity in her career and she will be successful consistently throughout.

When I first asked myself the question, I did think "Yes, she's peaked." But after thinking about it for a second, I'm more convinced that she is at her peak now, as opposed to a year ago/three years ago. Either way, GGGB was most certainly NOT her peak. The only aspect of Rihanna's career that I would say peaked in the GGGB was album sales and US popularity, other than that, she's at the top of her game right now. Rih was touring small venues during the GGGB era and she most certainly would not have been able to visit the O2 10 times three years ago. Not only that, but Loud sold at a much faster rate than GGGB did. Had it been repackaged and given a similar treatment as GGGB:R who knows what could've happened to Loud's overall sales. Point is, while her album sales might not ever hit the 8-9 million range, she's a different star now than she was in 2008. Rihanna is a bigger name now, and she's showing no signs of letting up, so while I can understand the argument that she has peaked in some regards, she definitely didn't peak with GGGB.

Success-wise, very likely.
Quality-wise, I really hope she hasn't.

This logic doesn't make any sense to me. Madonna has had her three most successful tours of her entire career in the last seven years or so, does that mean she has not peaked because she still grosses the **** out of her concert venues? Would people consider Madonna to be at the top of her powers now as opposed to the 80's where she had everything going for her? I doubt it.

Also just because Rihanna was selling her album at a faster rate doesn't necessarily mean she wouldn't have hit a sales ceiling at some point. The reason Rihanna is selling out at a faster rate now then she did three years ago is because she is a more established name with more recognition along with the fact that she released her singles at a faster rate in the Loud era then in the GGGB era. She had long gaps between her singles in 2008 where as she had multiple songs released simultaneously with Loud. However considering how her last three singles fared on the charts (Man Down- California King Bed - Cheers) the Loud era was already winding down and was losing momentum a 6-7 million total would have probably been it's maximum. Even if she had re-released it with We Found Love. Talk That Talk is actually a really good project for her because she can push this album and give Loud one last hurrah when it comes time for her to promote TTT. She will have had a big year with two big selling albums.

I have a feeling Talk That Talk will see smaller numbers then Loud. I would say probably around 4-5 million. Loud was Rihanna's "comeback" album after Rated R failed to live up to the huge commercial success of GGGB. TTT won't have that going for it and Rihanna has had no breather from a hugely successful era.
