You are stuck in the label though unless the label drops you, at least that is the case for Idol winners. They can't just leave they have to complete their term. Just like she was forced to do the movie From Justin to Kelly

Patrick may have a very small, tiny fraction of a point that was blown up to make it look larger then it is.

But it's very clear that Kelly doesn't ever want to be the IT girl again. I remember her crying 5 months after she won Idol that she never got to see her friends. Since Idol until the peak of Breakaway she worked non stop.... So yea I totally understand her tbh.

Sometimes her mouth gets her in trouble. I get where Patrick is coming from. It could rub people the wrong way. But I get why they ask her about it because she's so honest about it.

Christina talked a lot about what her label made her do (and still does sometimes). At some point you have to let go and move on. But in Xtina's case, they stopped forcing her to do stuff when she was making her second album. Kelly's former people (her management and label execs) continued to do so, even after she'd already proven herself. It's part of the reason why she changed management. And thank god the new people at RCA are working with her.

Kelly mostly changed her management because her manager wanted her to be the IT girl like forever !! I remember Kelly saying in a interview that her manger had different goals for her and she didn't want to be the biggest pop star in the world.

I absolute fell in love with her all over again while reading that interview. I hope she's around for a lot longer still! I'm not really feeling the new album so much yet, but I'm sure it's a grower.

That pisses me off. As a writer. And I've got a lot writer friends. There's songs I've tweaked perspective, but if my name is on a song I wrote the lyrics and melody. There's songs like What Doesn't Kill You or certain parts of Mr Know-It-All, if I didn't write it I usually make it my own, but I don't give myself a credit because the song is already there. I know a lot of artists say, 'If you want your song on my record, I get 50 per cent' and I'd like to kick them in the face. That's people's livelihoods. It's just so lame.

Yas, Kelly. This is why I love her. Its amazing how she doesn't focus her carrer in getting success, she just enjoys to make her music, that's the purpose of well...doing music, creating and enjoying. Her new album is pure pop/rock perfection. You can't win

Don't waste your time. These gurls want people who can't write, who can't sing and who have their albums written for them while they're on tour. Just enjoy the fact that your favourite artist is in it for the music instead of mainstream fame. That's special and it's nice to hear material when it's personal and you know it's the person's talent that resulted in what you listen to.

Thank God Kelly is one of my faves! She's making me love her again

I wish she got moved to Epic with P!nk and Avril aswell. That label would have suited Kelly a lot better!
