SO sad that this area is known to be seismically active and there's no adequate structure. There WILL be a big one in Instanbul someday and it will be chaos.

Then again, an earthquake in a densely populated area is going to be catastrophic. Even Tokyo, a region very well prepared for quakes, would suffer greatly if a major quake occurred.

Well,I'm from Turkey.The news are talking about the eartquake non-stop,I saw many people dead under the ruined buildings on TV.It's really sad,less than a week ago,our soldiers was killed by terrorists.And now this...
