There isn't really such a thing, generally speaking. All comes down to preferrence.

Music (You know) you will be listening to 10 years from now, such as Adele's SLY and RITD. Beyonce I AM and Mostly all of '4'.
I still listen to Mariah.Carey, Whitney and Celine Dion's and some old good R&B tunes (its so refreshing to the nonsense that is so popular today.) - thats quality music.

Bingo. "Quality music" is in the eye of the beholder, and it certainly isn't something that everyone can agree on, because one person's understanding of what "quality music" is will always be different than another person's view.

Quality music is anything that the listener enjoys. It changes from person to person and it doesn't matter if your friends or the people around you enjoy it or not. it's what you like and what sounds good to you.
