Bisexuals are just men who claim to be bisexuals because it makes them less gay? That is obviously the case for some, but let's not generalize. We can easily say all gay men have aids. People still use stereotypes at the end of 2011?

Breaking news just in! A heterosexual will see a bisexual person just as they see a homosexual person. They're both seen as GAY. It's no different from how people view blacks. Whether you're dark as Akon or light as Beyoncé, at the end of the day you will be seen and labeled as BLACKS.

Sexuality and general attraction is not black and white and there is no way to quantify it. Sexual orientation is more about who you fall in love with, connect with, care for then it is about who you sleep with. That is the deepest part of who you are as a being who you have the potential to fall in love with. The biggest myth about sexuality is the 'you are who you **** (or don't ****)' principal. Most human beings can't accept this though and you end up having straight guys who are so afraid of being gay that they are terrified of deep relationships and then you also have so many gay men who are so deeply entrenched in their gay identity that they hate anything that is gay. Women seem to have a better idea though. Most of them seem to understand that love is fluid and that people in general have the capacity to love anyone and adapt and change when given different levels of exposure. At least the kinds of women who don't let a man's existence in her life (or lack of one) dictate who she is.

People have the capacity to love both sexes and that's why people are bisexual. Bisexuality is probably the one "true" sexuality. The reason why everyone is so down on it is because it damages the notion of sexual absolutes. It attacks God's norm (men and women only) and it attacks the gay gene (gays are born this way and can only be gay). Sexuality isn't fixed. Social norms of sex just gets in the way of fully understanding and comprehending this fact. Being gay or straight is not defined by how many guys or girls you sleep with. It's about who you have the potential to fall in love with.

One thing I don't understand about bisexuality is how there can be a small amount of attraction for one of the genders, though. If someone is really attracted to a gender, wouldn't they be turned on by every good-looking specimen within that gender? I enjoy this superliberal idea that sexuality is fluid and bisexuals go through different phases, but I think it's pretty idealistic and makes just as many unfounded assumptions about sexuality as the idea that bisexuals don't exist.

Try to apply that logic to people who are exclusively attracted to one gender. I'm sure they're not attracted to "every good-looking specimen within that gender".

And as for this topic in general, what I don't understand is how we're generally (somewhat) accepting of bisexual women, but when it's guy, they're just closet cases in denial. It surprises me that so many people out there just blatantly refuse to accept that male sexuality isn't as rigid as they think.
