How can you expect one company to compete with the several manufacturers who use Android operating systems? It's not like Apple can put out a phone every month like Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola, etc. The true tea is that the iPhone has the highest market share out of every unique smartphone brand.

I think it's mostly with regard to major OS features, which are generally uniform across the manufacturers, like multitasking and notifications. I use both OSes, and Android's multitasking is still better than the iOS implementation.
Keeping an organised and synced music library on Android, however, definitely causes some headaches.
