I feel old. Like the VHS to DVD move was during my childhood, the DVD to Blueray move is happening.

The first two, I do not (and likely will not) own because I'm not a big fan of that particular series. The Incredibles? Like Kevin, I don't own that because, at $35, it is WAY too expensive. If it was below $30, I would consider it, but not at $35. Like Kevin, though, I will also buy Finding Nemo the moment it comes out, regardless of the price...though I'll probably buy the 2D version.

Hey can you post all the Pixar ones you have? Like that's a lot of Pixar movies then and weren't they all priced around $35?
Isn't A Bugs Life one of them? Yeah I got that too. I don't remember it being too pricey though. I bought it at Target, on sale, I think. I don't think it was $35 though, maybe $20 something...
Up
Wall-E
I got those two also, but I think I spent the full price tag on them. I think Up was $5 off though at Target, or maybe even $10, can't remember but I had to get it.

Oof, make that four, then. I ALWAYS forget about ABL.
So, that leaves...
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
Monsters, Inc.
Ratatouille
WALL-E
Up
Toy Story 3
Seven out of eleven isn't nearly as good, but considering that I'll never willingly buy half of those that I do not have...then seven out of nine is much better.

You know Red, it sucks that they are re-releasing all the Toy Storys in 3D in two or three weeks. I have to triple-dip for the frickin' series.
I bought all the DVDs, then I bought the Blu-Rays, then now I'm buying the 3D Blu-Rays.
Maybe I can bring my DVD's in and get a trade in My Blu-Rays came with a DVD combo pack so technically I have two DVD's of all three movies And I wouldn't be suprised if the 3D release comes with a DVD too, so make it 3 copies of the same 3 movies. 3 copies of Toy Story 1, 2, & 3 on DVD.
-edit- Maybe not: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Toy-St...Blu-ray/28347/
-edit- -edit- No wait, they do include the DVD's. I looked down at the specifications of each 3D movie. I was just looking at the 'picture' on the top, it just said it included 3D Blu-Rays only, but I guess that's wrong.

I'd consider upgrading to Blu-Ray if it weren't so damn expensive, and I really don't need super HD copies of movies I already own anyways.

Did you read my posts? DVD's are becoming more expensive than Blu-Rays now. Do your research.
When DVD's come out, aren't they like $17.99??
I know it's $3 more, but you can get a 3D Blu-Ray, 2D Blu-Ray, DVD, Bonus Disc and Digital Copy all for only $21 (for Pirates 4) but that's only until the limited deal is up with.
I just bought...
The Social Network 14.99
Beastly 14.99
Skyline 14.99
When originally they were at $29.99.
That's cheaper than a DVD last time I checked.
I also bought in the past few months...
Unknown 14.99
Black Swan 13.99
127 Hours 13.99
Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 15.99
Source Code 14.99
Space Jam 14.99 (Though it was a medicore transfer, haven't seen the DVD tho)
The Others 4.99 ( ) (Because it was a new release...?)
All of these films were at least $10 to $15 off. 127 Hours was the best deal I've ever come across I think. Actually no, Black Swan was. It was originally $29.99, just like all of these films.
I could list more, but those are the main ones in the past few months. Like I said previously, if you are on a tight budget and don't want to spend the money on Blu-Rays, go to www.blu-ray.com and check out the deals on the top of the page for bargains. That's how I found out about Black Swan for over 50% off.
Go to Best Buy every Tuesday, Target and Wal-Mart. Target sometimes has $15 off deals on Blu-Rays that you would never expect. I'm always looking around for deals. If you buy on the first day, of course it's going to be a bit more expensive.

I've never seen a Blu-Ray sell for less then $25. (then again, I haven't really been looking) and you can get DVD's for as low as $5. (Obviosuly not new) And besides all those deals probably only exist within the US. (Target isn't even in Canada yet....)
I even once bought a DVD (which contains four movies) for $12.

There are plenty of Blu-ray movies for under $10 on Amazon right now, including plenty of hit titles. There are even Blu-ray movies available for $5, though those films are mostly bad, give or take a few good ones. It was like this when DVD was in the same stage that Blu-ray is in now.
Oh, and new movies on DVD generally go for around $17 or so, compared to $20-$25 for new Blu-ray movies. The difference isn't nearly as much as it used to be.

Well as I said, I don't usually go looking for blu-rays, so thats probably why I haven't seen them on sale cheaper then $25. I would also need to buy a blu-ray player too. Kind useless without a means to view them.

Either way, knowing from experience, (I do own almost 400 Blu-Rays) DVD's are only worth buying if less than $5. I'd only rent them personally or like -Lewymocha- said, stream them online because with streaming, that's probably the only quality you will get out of a DVD. Crap.
I'm just trying to help you guys out. I used to buy DVD's too, but once I opened my eyes, I started buying Blu-Rays. I hope DVD's die out, but I doubt it (with these combo packs all Blu-Rays come with).
But from personal experience and recommendation, DVD's are not worth buying. Only renting. Or just stream it online. Or buy DVD's if you have kids and you are worried they are going to abuse them. I wouldn't want a kid to abuse my $40 3D Blu-Ray I just bought.
But yeah, DVD's are not worth your money, believe me. I'm an expert on Blu-Rays And so is Red.
DVD's are now more of a scam I think to steal your money...

Hey I had to do an import from Canada for Bitch Slap, Final Destination 2 & 3. ^^
Do all your Blu-Rays have French(?) covers / languages on it like that?
I have also done an import from the UK for What Women Want on Blu-Ray. The packaging is really thick. And no that's not what she said. The size of UK's Blu-Rays are like double the size of a Blu-Ray within the US.

For the people who do not own an HD TV system, Blu Rays and DVDs are almost the same. Yet you could afford two DVDs for the price of one Blu Ray, so some of them are actually taking advantage of the drop of the prices.
