Months ago, the report that famed photographer David La Chapelle was suing Pop vocalist Rihanna for illegally using some of his work for her ‘S&M’ video had many of the singer’s fans wondering just how she would handle the case.
Today, it has been confirmed that she and Chapelle have settled out of court for an ‘undisclosed amount‘.
On the case, the photographer’s publicist remarked hours ago: David is happy with the settlement.
This statement comes after Manhattan federal Judge Shira Scheindlin agreed that the singer did indeed copy Mr. Chapelle’s work in July.
Forced to accept that the concepts in her visual were blatant examples of plagiarism , reports indicate that Fenty was forced to pay the $1 million dollars she was initially being sued for.
