Everyone is just so used to britney releasing generic dance songs, it will take time for criminal to 'blow' up, if it doesn't then it doesn't, at least britney released a risky single choice.

Thank you! I just can't with all these meltdowns

And Martian, i don't get you, in that little breakdown you had over britney after the vmas, didn't YOU say that britney releases too many generic dance songs with meaningless lyrics that don't get to you. (or some stupid **** like that), yet you wanted BFB (the definition of a mindless generic song) to be released over criminal (a different, NON-generic song with actual meaningful lyrics talking about something other than sex), give me a ****ing break.
Not to mention how BFB would NOT sell the album anywhere near as much as criminal is doing now. Criminal shows people a different side of britney, if it flops who really cares? I'd rather a RISKY single like criminal flop then have britney release another generic dance single instead.

I think people get scared because Criminal is now officially done with promo... so there will be no more boosts that aren't generated by the controversy it might bring. Either way, if it is going to be a success, it won't be in time to boost Britney's radio presence enough to make her one of the top played artists this year on Billboard.

I have never EVER said that. I have ALWAYS said that people care too much about lyrics and it would be pointless trying to release a song that has a "deeper meaning" because people don't really care to hear that on radio. You don't get me because you clearly don't read my posts thoroughly. I'm not here for people that skim.
Plus, I've always said "Criminal" isn't really any deeper than any other song on Femme Fatale. No one in pop music is really writing profound lyrics. I've said that time and time again and I'll stand by it. If I wanted a lyrical masterpiece to smash, I'd be voting for Regina Spektor.
Edit: I just read it again...

Ever since I've been a Britney fan I have always said that I could care less about how deep her songs and that I connect with her music because it's relate-able. During the Blackout era I was doing a lot of partying so that record really meant something to me. It's never been about how deep her lyrics are to me. Don't put words in my mouth. You might wanna go back about 400 pages and check out what I said vs. what you thought you read.

Some posts are made after I have already began posting a response so I don't see it. If I got back and edit, there's a better chance that someone has already responded to the first post. It's not like they are 1 or two sentence replies. It's not spam, I've read the rules. If you have a problem with my posting patters, PM me. No need to get off topic, dear.
Anywho, I'm still going to vote for Criminal every day, I've bought ten copies on iTunes (gifted) and will support my girl... but I am still not here for it being a single and will drag it when it flops.

No one's supposed to get it, it's provocative.
Still, I think this and Criminal are among the best videos released this year...
The HIAM Fight Scene > Criminal > the I Wanna Go Street Slay > Till The World Ends > The Rest of HIAM > The Rest of IWG

Oh my god I'm so happy. I'm reading a book that evaluates your personality and gives you a color based of your traits and then tells you how to succeed and so on. Well under my color it said about other celebrities that have taken the evaluation and are my color and one of them is Britney Spears.
I have the same personality as The Queen

Heartbroken. I'm trying to find a reason to continue to support you, but it just seems like another dollar out of my pocket and into yours... I used to listen to your music to help deal with the stress that comes in life. I saw it as an inspiration not to let the negative get the best of me or become the victim of any situation. Now, it's just mindless pop music.

Oh.
The point remains that you were dissapointed that britney's music now is just mindless pop music YET you wanted the generic and repetive BFB to be released over the different, non-generic, risky, meaningful Criminal.

I know right.
I think most people would have been underwhelmed with a medieval theme.
