Executive producer and creative director? Oh, that definitely means she isn't manufactured.
She's not doing Rated R type music because it wasn't selling that well and Def Scam wasn't having that.

The creative process it takes to dye and cut hair for every new album release (which falls on the Black Friday every year) is just beyond our comprehension. Being creative director, you know, choosing your favorite colors and favorite pictures is challenging as well. But we've all been there before, like in the 1st grade.

Basically. All these sillies here think they're high and above. Just sit. They're all manufactured. We know Britney is. Wish Beyonce stans would see how much she is. Hopefully the rest realize their faves are too, seeing as naming them would be waste of characters. It's ridiculous. Enjoy or dislike the music and be on.

In short, Rihanna, Katy, and Ke$ha seem, to me, to be the most manufactured artists today. All pop artists to an extent are manufactured, but definitely some more than others and in different ways. While Ke$ha may write most of her party girl lyrics, her image is completely manufactured. Katy's Teenage Dream is nearly the definition of manufactured, but her first album and era was not so much, much like Rihanna's Loud is extremely manufactured but Rated R was not so much.

I think any singer of American Idol fame is more manufactured than the ones who aren't.

DEATH! Just because she don't write or produce doesn't mean she's manufactured. If she was a label puppet she would've never recorded Man Down, CKB etc. Let alone have them as singles in a world full of only DANCE tracks atm. Rihanna already proved she's FAR from a label puppet. What label puppet goes around talking like she does on Twitter? Bye.

Not saying I agree or disagree with my sis, but it gives him the leg up a bit in presenting his case.
Executive producer implies that she chooses what songs make the final tracklisting, theme, etc etc and along with creative director she decides what image she wants to put out. That, coupled with her "whorish" and "silly, party girl" personality on Twitter leads to evidence that this happy go lucky **** image is more "her" than Rated R was. She even said in an interview that she was tired of having to put on the "dark emo" act for Rated R iirc.

Pretty much everyone in here is in agreement that their favorite artist is manufactured, some more than others. You sound upset.

No one said she didn't have any control over her music. That doesn't mean she's not manufactured, like he said. She's still manufactured just like all of the pop girls. She has to follow the doctor's orders like all of the patients.

This isn't about Rihanna specifically, but executive producer is the broadest credit there is. It can mean an aritst who is very hands on, or an artist with a good lawyer who gets him/her an automatic exec producer credit on their contract.

Bey never ever looks forced to do anything, kids don't sing because they just want to put on a show for people, if anything the videos of her as a child and teen make it more obvious how not manufactured she really is, she was born to perform and her father coached her to be just
She's naturally private and carries herself with class

Arguing Rihanna being manufactured is like arguing the sun is yellow.
