I happen to think first impression is what really sells the song to a listener.
Lets not get started on how this song is only for one audience, I def don't see the adults caring about Hair. This song is built for the 13-16 year olds, nothing else. Straight men are going to cringe at this song, and babies are going to fling their diapers at the radio.

Do you know when HAIR was released and TEOG was released and confirmed as a single according to radio tracking HAIR was much higher than TEOG after the third second week ot their release then it had to fade away since TEOG was the main single. In fact i am glad its yet to move on iTunes, which means it still has a fresh opportunity to come back strong since its not yet owned by many in the public and is yet to be worn out. Hair is a hit awaiting the right time to smash, i'd prefer its removed as the last last single after many forget about its buzz. And this adults thing not caring is not true, any person above 25 would even dispute it plus the songs melody has an 80's feel which many adults adore like TEOG. The issue is how will they handle the single release and promotions(personal opinion) but that song is not a flop song its super radio friendly just like Teenage Dream and we know very well radio smashes 90% of them translate to high sales. (NO HARM INTENDED JUST STANDING FOR A SONG I BELIEVE HAS A HUGE POTENTIAL AND THE VIDEO

HAS A PLATFORM FOR SOMETHING HUGE)
