- You may take it at 16 - with the aid of a car
- You may socialise in nightclubs at 18...
- and yet at 21 you are finally allowed to taste alchohol.

In the UK....
- You may create life at 16
- With the aid of a car you may take it at 17
- ...and at 18 you can enjoy an alcohol beverage - and also hit the clubs.

No. Different societies determine what they consider to be appropriate for their young people...

US drinking laws are messed up, that's practically common sense.

Wait what? You can't create life until you are 18???? Then why are their 14-17 year olds getting pregnant? Something is wrong with this.

So basically...what my country - the UK - is saying is...

- Go out and have sex! Have sex first!
- Before you learn to drive, a very useful skill, which gives you the means to be completely responsible for your own transport...
- ...have sex, pro-create
- ...then learn to drive once your childhoold sweetheart is knocked up and you need to ferry you, her and that soon-approaching baby about
- ....now - if you're not in jail for killing someone as a result of wreckless driving/DUI - go out and drown your sorrows in alcohol - which you wish you would have had access to two years ago, so you wouldn't have been able to get it up that night, you wouldn't have that baby, that girl and you'd only have yourself to drive.

UK laws suck and contradict eachother too...

In Belgium we can drink when we're 16, so **** both your basic countries.

Do you have decent reading ability? Did you see the title? Did you see that included in it was the word "law"? Do you know what that means? Do you know that by doing those things those "14-17 year olds" are breaking the "law"?

Maybe I should have included the word "LEGALLY" at the beginning of each sentence....

*Tehe* I discovered this last year when I was 16... I went on a long weekend to Belgium with my parents and my best friend.

Just so happened to end up in this gay club/bar...one of the bartenders had it in for me and charged me only 5 euros for like 50 euros worth of drink.

Don't you ****ing try it. So driving before someone is legal to drink or procreate is a good thing; surely it means they'll be less responsible. It's not like teenage pregnancy rates are actually high over here at all.

The Europeans better not come for the UK either.
