OK before I start posting the top 3 I wanna say that I love all 3 songs equally, but i can't have multiple #1s so i had to rank them somehow, but yeah think of it as 3 number ones of the year


3. Jimmy Eat World - Work

This song is beyond amazing, it helped me a lot through the whole "coming out" process, I *****d the hell out of it (319 plays to date) and it's a very special song for me.
Jimmy Eat World also had another #3 in 2002 with "The Middle", but this is by far their best song to date.

2. Utada - Exodus '04

Ugh Utada is such a ****en **** for not making a video for this, but whatever, it's one of the best songs I've EVER heard. It's perfection: the mesmerizing beat, the great voice, the lyrics, everything! I'll be forever thankful to NG for sending this. I could listen to this forever and never get sick of it.
Also first song without a video to ever retire from my ****down, and it's perfect to enjoy a cigarette

Gwen (or No Doubt) never had a #1 of the year before, so I think it's only fair to give it to her this year. After all I love this song to death and yes, it reminds me of the happiest time of my life but oh well.
The video is 100% amazingness and she looks soo gorgeous with brown hair. Best song on L.A.M.B., it used to be Hollaback Girl but I decided Cool is better.

I figured Gwen would be #1, and I actually though Cool would be #1 too because of how badly overplayed HG got. Nice to see "Work" at #3 and The Game in the Top 10 as well.

Overall, better than I expected and a fine ass list.
