Christina wont have any chance for an 1 debut...since her last studio album Stripped sold less than 350K and was an album of 3 years of waitin' and worst if her album is going to be jazz she is DEAD...no matter how much her few fans try..she wont debut at 1 i see her album sellin' something like 150-200K during the year [since her last album only sold 330K in xmas season]
Britney spears is a HIt the number 1 album machine, her last studio album sold twice of xtina's debut and with a bad single...
Justin Timberlake... well depends of the single, he can debut in the top 5 or he can hit the first spot
j.lo is just out of the list, i can't see her hittin' any high in the future

Sorry, but Britney never depended on the single to sell a lot and debut at #1. The best examples are her last two studio albums - Slave and MATM didn't do exactly good not even on the CHR/Pop.

Britney's new album wont be a #1. The public takes her for a joke and with her new trailer park image, it wont gain any fans. Her albums have significantly decreased in sales and this will be no exception.

I think Justin has the best chance of a #1 out of those and if Chrisina has a really hot single, she could top the charts as well.

Britney's last album of new material was In The Zone and that was a huge hit.

I don't know why people are saying peoples albums are gonna flop regardless of the single. The average pop fan will buy a record if they like the lead single. They all have a fair chance of getting to #1 but looking at past history i'd say either Justin or Britney have the biggest chance.

Gimpy is right. We can ignore the poll and say what we think will be #1 unlike those 4. Brit, Xtian, Jlo and JT aren't the only choices Xtian...is that where your mind is at now?

That said, if Mariah somehow releases a new album...that will be #1 hands down. With the year she had, can you possibly doubt her chances?

Another possibility is (dare I say it) Dr. Dre. We've waited too damn long for his next cd. This would only be his 3rd album right? Exactly how long has he been around again?

Those not urban who have the best chance would be Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and maybe Shania Twain. Lately the country stars have made high debuts and the way that's going, I don't see how it will stop. Still, JT could give them a run for their money but imo, these artists I think have the best chance in debuting #1.

As far as Evanescence goes, maybe a #2 debut at best...but I hope they get #1. They deserve it way more than these artists in the poll combined.

Oh, and if Sugababes ever do crossover into the U.S.A. and promote their cd, they have a slim chance. They can sing better than the artists in this poll combined.

Bottom line Xtian.....you're just......forgetting about everyone else not named Brit and Xtina.

I wouldn't be suprised if they didn't. "Fallen" spent over 100 weeks in the Top 200, and over a year in the Top 30 (i believe), but only peaked at #3.
