I think Avril should never stop making upbeat songs, she should make both types of music, but sure, if they are more mature it will be better.

Her last few upbeat songs haven't been bratty. I think it's just Luke that brings out the retard in her.

Ok, they are not as bratty as TBDT album, but I think they are still under the same category, immature and unmeaningful (half of Smile is meaningful, though). Probably because she or her label thought it would a good idea to make similar structure for upbeat songs. Songs about "messing your head, messing in your bed" don't sound very mature to me

She needs to get together with some of Kelly Clarkson & Pinks producers from this past era.

Their producers gave them the kind of pop rock songs Avril slays at without being bratty.

I'd love to see what Avril & Darkchild or Brian Kennedy could come up with.
