Well, it's not a surprise that this is #1. It was on top of the chart for 19 weeks, and had over 1500 mp3 plays (compared to "Moments" which had just over 500). Like many others, I recognized how amazing this song is, and what a signature song it has become for Mariah. In 2003 she was also at #1 on my year-end chart, with "Bringin' On The Heartbreak", her only song that I think is better than "We Belong Together". Though 2005 was a year in which jpop queens reigned, there was one queen that stood above them all. Congratulations Mariah!

Well deserved. The American outwits the Japanesy, but this is truly been Mariah's year.
