People use this irrelevant and REACHING argument since Umbrella came out and it's so WRONG. Who else can execute these producers visions they way Rihanna can?
This is the same reason why Umbrella was given to Rihanna and not Mary J. Blige, the same reason Skylar Grey was taken off of Love The Way You Lie and the reason why Ester Dean wrote back-to-back number 1 hits for Rihanna's voice and style.

This is not saying much. Of course Rihanna might be able to make a different sound; she has a different voice. And that different voice might be what a producer or writer prefers over someone else. Having a different voice is not indicative of talent, though, it's indicative of being a different person. I'm not denying that she can be a talented singer when she wants, it's just not that hard to do what she does. She's run-of-the-mill, is what I'm saying; if that's how her label wants to find success, good for them.
But at least you can admit that Rihanna doesn't have her own vision. Respect.
What producers and writers prefer over someone else is that she's RIHANNA lol she's not some run of the mill artist that can be emulated with a simple copy and paste. You should know that plenty of artist have tried and failed. There's a reason that the top producers in the game clamor to work with her because they know that the chance of producing a successful song is much greater with Rihanna then just about any other artist.
Rihanna has one of the most beautiful and unique voices in music, she deserves this.
Those features would not have been hits without her and the pressed will stay mad.
