Adam Lambert has said that his second album will be released next spring.

The former American Idol contestant revealed that while the LP has faced a number of setbacks, he expects that it will be ready for release in February or March 2012.

"As of now, album will be released in the spring. Feb/march? (sic)," Lambert tweeted on Sunday.

He also revealed that he hopes the first single from his sophomore album will be released next month.

"Here's the deal: there have been a couple of creative set backs on the first single," Lambert said. "Mainly cuz I'm a perfectionist. Ha. Seems as though the single will explode in November. I'm sorry for the delay - but trust me, it's worth it (sic)."

Lambert recently signed on to be a mentor on Hub TV's new musical reality series Majors and Minors.

In April, the 29-year-old reportedly crashed Lady GaGa's 25th birthday party. He was said to be intoxicated upon entering the celebration.

I was wondering about him. I have a feeling he'll flop, hard. I don't want that though cause Whatya Want From Me & If I Had You were my jams!

he's reppin for the male-pop/synth artists! i got hopes for him... but im worried they just hopes :/

I've always been here for his talent, but never for his music. I hope he actually does something interesting this time around.

His music has gotten worse for me with time. I used to like If I Had You & For Your Entertainment, but no so much anymore. Well, FYE is a nice track. WWFM has actually grown on me with time.

I do worry how this will do. People don't seem to care about him as much. I've hardly seen anyone talk about this new album in anticipation for it. Oh, & February/March isn't Spring, unless he means the very end of March.

Hoping for a better album cover & overall album than last time. His debut disappointed me.

This title is misleading. He said "Feb/march?"

The question mark means he's not sure. So I wouldn't get my hopes up and assume the
album will be out sometime in the first quarter.

But i'm looking forward to the music.
