Christina to release new single "Flapper Girls"
Christina's new single, titled "Flapper Girls" will hit airwaves in early february. The single is the first off of her upcoming album titled, "History Repeats Itself".
On this new studio album, Aguilera will travel back to the 1920s, work her way through the 30s, into the 40s, passed the 50s, and end it in the 60s.
"I'm so excited about this project," Aguilera revealed in a press statement. "The album is supposed to go back to american history through the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s," she added. "I wanted to do the 70s, 80s, and 90s but that would've taken me another year of recording, and by then Mariah Carey would've re-released 7 more albums, and i can't allow my fans to get bored of me and go back to her." she added.
"'Flapper Girls' will allow me to ***** myself up without actually going overboard like how i did with 'Dirrty,'" the 'Dirrty' diva added. "I Will show a little skin in the video. Maybe an ankle here, a shoulder there, all of which was very risky back in the 20s," she added.
The 2nd single, titled "The Great Depression," is going to be a frontrunner at next years Grammys, according to Linda Perry, who penned the song with Aguilera. "It's going to represent the 1930s very well," Aguilera added. "In the video, i am going to play a desperate girl from NYC, working for .10 cents on the street," she added. "And then i get attacked by King Kong."
The 3rd single, titled "I Love You Baby (Boom!)" will see Aguilera jump into the 50s, where she and new hubby Jordan Bratman will play husband and wife from the 1950s making love all night long in the music video. Bratman is going to play a horny soldier who just got back home to his even hornier wife(aguilera) after WWII. "It's going to be a great opportunity for me to actually get pregnant," Aguilera boasts.
