I will say Adele because besides coming around in the time that I REALLY got into music, I really enjoy her voice.
Her voice is unique because it is raspy and smoky which makes it beautiful and stand out from "normal" vocals.
And her voice is very powerful.

Susan Boyles overrated. She doesnt even write songs...but were talking about voice, so Adele still wins.

Susan Boyle may have the better range, but her voice lacks the sheer power that Adele has. The emotions Adele tries to convey are far clearer and visceral. Effortless.

Even if I disagree, I can see that argument and understand it.
That said...Boyle could never hope to match the pure soul and power that seeps out of Adele's voice. That's not even a contest.

Boyle is quite a bland singer in the end. She's a reasonably good soprano, but nothing THAT special. So Adele.
