It definitely had the promotion . . I dunno -- kinda like what happened with Ryan Cabrera but we'll see what happens once her second single is released. . . I wish it were "Black Hole" i think that could help her album but we'll see how she does with this next single. Is "Daughter to Father" still climbing the Hot 100 chart?

I for one am glad that her album flopped. Hopefully now she'll stick to her Disney movies a leave the singing to the true musicians

I think why thealbum flopped is because "Confessions of a Broken Heart" wasnt as strong a release as "Rumors". It probably did better on billboard but "Rumors" was catchy and alot more people liked it.

I'm a huge Hilary fan but I do like some of Lindsay's music but honestly Lindsay will never be able to compete with Hilary as a recording artist but I do think Lindsay is a better actress though.

Its not that a lot more people liked Rumors, its that a lot more people knew Rumors.

ALMP is better than Speak, but Lindsay picked better songs to become singles from SPeak than from ALMP. I Live 4 The Day??? WTF?????? FLOP!

I'm extremely glad she's flopping. She should just keep acting, hopefully her next movie (a home prairy companion) will be a critical hit, and she'll realize that singing is not her future.

Agreed. Rumors had a lot more appeal to a certain age group, while "Confessions" was really deep and didn't appeal to many younger people who bought her debut album.

I think "I live for the day" is gonna help her though, cause it seems like a song that could have been on Speak, I doubt she'll get close to platinum though.

She should have made Confessions a third single.
