It was allright with me, Mariah was live, I didn't see any lip-synching. As far as Hilary Duff in the after party show, I really don't know, nor was I paying attention...
ABC didn't do that great of a job this year televising this entire production, a lot of bad camera shots at inappropriate/uneeded times, and the whole entire show could have been set up better than it was. They needed to have some of the show before the local news, like they used to.
MTV looks like they had a better show, I saw the Fall Out Boy and All American Rejects collab. - (Which was cool to see.)
-It's Like That was both pre-recorded and sung live.

-WBT Remix was lipped with the original song on playback.

I have to listen to that again, but some of it was defintely live and she sounded good... her dress was a little bit inappropiate, but it was nye and thats why we love her
