I think that to believe we are the only intelligent live in this vast universe is presumptuous, stupid and egotistical. Also mathematically improbable.
I'm all for it as long as they don't want to harvest us.
One side would attack the other, we have seen this before. (Conquest of the America's). Hopefully they're smarter/more peaceful than humans
As a society, we are smarter than our ancestors (who they fooled). If they want to remain unknown, then they wouldn't dare come close. But i'm sure they have devices that monitor us.
If they had the technology to travel here from lightyears away, surely they would be so above and beyond our level of tech that they could remain undetected?
If they do exist, they want us for something...cause if they didn't they would've destroyed us.
Not necessarily. In the unlikely incident there are sentient alien life forms monitoring our planet, it might just be for scientific reasons. Humans often study wildlife just in the pursuit of knowledge.
