05. DJ Z-Trip feat. Chester Bennington - Walking Dead I Know I may be the only person with this song in their top 5, but the song just rocks so much for me. If their was a video for this song, it very well could had been top 3. The beat in the song is crazy and Chester's vocals are dead on. The song reached number one on my countdown and reached retirement as well.
04. Finch - Bitemarks & Bloodstains This was one song this year that really caught me by suprise. I never really liked Finch until I heard this song. The song really was a standout for the year. The album "Say Hello To Sunshine" is a great album if you have not heard it. The song really didn't do too well on rock radio which is a shame since it really deserved it. The song reached number one on my countdown and retired as well.
15. Depeche Mode - Precious
12. The Bravery - An Honest Mistake
10. Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country
08. My Chemical Romance - Helena
07. Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.
06. Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends
05. DJ Z-Trip feat. Chester Bennington - Walking Dead
03. Dredg - Bug Eyes Dredg was a band I became familiar with in 2005. Most people may have never heard of them and if you haven't go out and do. "Bug Eyes" is one of those songs you will have to like. There is many other good songs on the album, but this was the only single released this year. The next single, "Zebraskin" will most definately make my 2006 list. "Bug Eyes" reached number one and retired on my countdown.
02. nine inch nails - The Hand That Feeds These guys made a comeback this year in a big way. "With Teeth" was one of my top 3 albums of the year and the 1st single "The hand That Feeds" proves this album is amazing. I am going to be seeing NIN's live in February and I can not wait. The song spent 19 days at #1 on my countdown and retired as well.
I have to be gone all day tomorrow so I have to post my #1 of 05' Now
01. Atreyu - The Crimson Like it was really a suprise to anyone. This is one song since I first heard it I know it would be a song I would never forget. The song debuted on my countdown on 2/27/05 at #9. The song ended up retiring on 7/5/05. Yes it had a long run on my countdown because it stayed on 15 days straight and fell off for a little bit. The song came back and spent the rest of the days on peaking at #2. Atreyu have a new album coming out March 28th entitled Deathgrip On Yesterday. A new song by Atreyu will be featured on the Underworld: Evolution Soundtrack entitled "Her Portrait Is Black."I seen these guys at Warped Tour 05' and they kicked ass. I could rant all day, but I'll stop. This is why "The Crimson" is my #1 Song of 2005.
