People who commit suicide over things like that are mentally ill already, to some extent, and for any number of reasons. They don't suddenly develop an illness because someone called them a ****** in the playground.

It's also interesting to note Hitler would strongly agree with you, the mentally ill deserve to die

2. The way freedom of speech works: You're allowed to state your opinion, everyone else is allowed to call you an idiot because of it.

I've never been bullied, it's rare here in Argentina, and the most important is your attitude towards it, you should never let anybody do you things you don't like

I don't think he is saying they're cowards, but they're not brave enough. People that kill themselves can't really stand up for themselves and make it easier to bullies to bully them since they don't do anything about it. The brave people realize that it isn't a good decision to kill themselves and waste their life just because of some insecure bullies. They know how to leave that in the past, and focus on success when they get older. Also, they could shut them up by making a nice comeback or maybe beating the bully up really bad.

I remember one kid in my Band class was constantly bullied for being "nerdy" by some PE students. He pushed one of the bullies to the wall, and starting punching him repeatedly in the face. They never messed with him anymore

I didn't call them cowards, I said they were LESS BRAVE than the ones who have the ability to put up with it, I don't condone violence but it's something everyone goes through! Kids these days need to develop a tougher skin and not be so sensitive! Especially Kids of the first world (highly developed) countries where kids tend to be a lot more sensitive and where suicide is highly common. And how is it not a Test? Doesn't it TEST your patience? TEST how sensitive you are to what people think? TEST your personality and more? It is definitely

So, by your logic, Jamey was being tested before he killed himself? Even though it seemed he had overcome the bullying, and dusted it off his shoulder, you mean to tell me he was still being tested, and was "sensitive"?

And before I continue, I do get what you're saying. My point is bullying has become more sadistic and intense than the normal "4-eyes" jokes we all said back in elementary.

If they don't deserve to die, why do you act like it's all fine and dandy for people to kill themselves over bullying?

And yes, this forum is US-based. That means jack-****, you have no right to freedom of speech here. The site owners can censor whatever they want.

I agree with this however I believe that repeated insults due to someones religion, race, sexuality or the sexuality of their parents needs to have a teacher step in. Stamp it out immedaitley, schools need to have a no tolerance policy on kids getting harassed for those things.

Bullying should definitely be taken more seriously. Kids will think just because they are getting away with it now they will still get away if they gradually start making it worse.
