I stan for talent only. If a singer has talent, (s)he will have great songs, amazing discography, wonderful videography, etc.

If I was looking just for numbers and commercial succcess, I'll definitely be a part of the Katy Kats or the Monsters. (I'm not saying that Katy and Gaga have no talent)

Accomplishments are just the cherry on top.

When I began stanninh for Brit and X, I was like 5, so I couldn't have known if they were popular or not. :rip;

Same with Ms. Duff, I was like ten. I liked me da music. I stanned.

Same with BEP and Coldplay.

I haven't stanned for a new artist since BEP in 2003.

I stan for Hilary because she just simply makes good ass pop music. She doesn't have the best voice at all, she admits that and it's pretty easy to tell BUT she has talent that many really cannot see and she is under rated as an artist. Dignity, the release of the two songs on Best Of, and Any Other Day really showed me that Hilary is serious about her music and I can't wait to see what she does next.

Shania- because I've literally listened to her for my whole life. I love almost all of her songs, and she has the talent and legacy to back it all up.

Taylor- I've loved her from the very first song. There are very few songs she's written that I don't like. I'd stan for her no matter what.... she just coincidentally happens to be incredibly successful

Gaga- I didn't really start listening to pop music until 2009, and I didn't really like Gaga until the 2009 VMA performance when I realized "hey! there was an intelligent person on stage singing!" That was really got me into her; the fact that everything had a meaning... I'm starting to drift away from that though

I'm not an expert so I don't know **** about what's talent, I do believe she has to have some for having so much success, if it wasn't like that anyone could be famous and succesful and that's not the deal.

Good music and a personality I can relate to + like is what gets me.

Definitly for Madonna. I think Rihanna is very talented but she dissapoints me sometimes, and she need's to work on some things. As for madonna, she is an incredible songwriter and dancer, activist, and most of all, a damn strong woman. I don't just stan for either madonna or rihanna because of what they achieved, or the records they have set. That defeats the point of me stanning.

Everything about her, her voice, her music, songwriting style. I love that even in interviews she comes across as so ... normal. Like, some girl you could actually be friends with. Her personal pics confirm this, she's very fun and shes ok with trannys

I started stanning for Beyonce after I saw her Grammy performance of Dangerously in Love. I fell in love. I wasn't thinking about numbers, hell I didn't even know what a billboard was until I start getting more invovled with blogging during the B-Day era.

And I basically grew up on Mariah Carey and WHitney Houston.

When will your faves?

I stan for my fave because she does have talent. Mariah's vocals, her radiance, and elegance. But for those who stan for artists who can't sing without a backing track or just lip-sync altogether, success is pretty much the only thing you can hold onto.
