There are people engaging in some of this shady business without getting paid or purchasing. I say, if you are a ho, at least get paid for it. That doesn't mean I think prostitution should be legalized, though.

I wasn't here over summer but now I'm back in my boring countryside house I'm back. I enjoy the hilarity of it all and how seriously some people take the place. Some of the pure fantasy lives they have amuse me too...but most people are pretty cool tbh.

I think prostitution should be legalized. Prostitutes are not doing anything harmful. They just have sex in exchange for the money. As long as the act is between two consenting adults (i.e. a legal age prostitute and a legal age client), I don't think it really brings harm to the society. Its tacky? I think so. But if someone wants to do it, its their life. Prostitution is the world's oldest profession and it will exist no matter what will be the laws against it. Better to have an open market than a black market. Forbidden fruit is always the sweetest. I think I've read some articles where it was mentioned that the legalization of prostitution actually reduced the demand for prostitutes in most of the countries where it was legalized.

I did read the first few pages though and I agree 100% with Bea. I'm not going to waste time re-iterating what was surely already posted before me, but I will ask you this;

All of these people in favor of legalizing prostitution, is this the state our society has come to? To devalorize a person to the point of being an object fit for use in exchange for payment? Would you have your son or daughter treated this way? All of these holier-than-thou people posting in threads about bullying and gay teen suicide yet you would teach your own children that their bodies are worth nothing more than a **** and a few bucks? It seems that the root of the problem extends further than we'd like to acknowledge.
